I just finished this book. It was so good! It's a fictional account of two boys and their families in Afghanistan. Some parts of it were really hard to take because of the graphic nature, but that's most likely what life is like for those people. It really opened my eyes to their way of life, their views, and what they've dealt with over the past 20 years. I'm really glad I read it. I'm getting ready to read his next novel called A Thousand Splendid Suns that is listed on Amazon.com's top 5 books.
I also read last night A Walk To Remember by Nicholas Sparks. It wasn't quite as good as The Notebook, but what could compare to that! It was good however. I had no clue the movie with Mandy Moore was based on this book either. I have not seen it, but now I want to!
